[quote author=bulldog1974 board=general thread=287 post=1947 time=1279137668 The above quote is quite possibly true, however, face the facts that massive Senior line from last season is in dire need of new bodies. Look for a very competetive team, and I would not be surprised if the Bulldogs are 3-0 again prior to league play. There is quite a bit of unexplored talent coming up. [/quote] Last years line was out of shape and slow... This years line isn't as small as people think and they are deffinately better athletes.

I was thinking about this last night when I was trying to fall asleep bulldog and I came up with some John Madden type statistics. The last time Crestview beat Columbiana "at the farm" was in 06 which means every kid that played that night (including the freshmen) have graduated already. This in turn means that every kid curently on these two teams (including the seniors) has never seen a Crestview victory over Columbiana "at the farm". As far as every kid on the current teams know Columbiana has always beaten Crestview "at the farm" Kind of crazy when you think about it huh bulldog? Columbiana has beaten Crestview in football one time since 2003.

Quote: "Exactly the point I made about replacing the massive line. You have to also mention Austin, who along with Shane, is attending college with a scholarship. There are many holes to fill, but that unexplored talent is more than willing to fill the holes that were left. Could be an interesting season and full of surprises."
Only Ben Gysin is attending college on a football scholarship. Mercyhurst is D-2. Guzzetti, Peterson, Cope and Mercer are attending D-3 schools, which do not award athletic scholarships. Looking forward to all fie to the EP athletes hopefully enjoying and experiencing success at the next level!

D3 colleges offer other inticements that are akin to scholarships. They have to, or no one would go just for sports. So they have received some type of incentive to attend.

Thanks, that is what I meant about D3 scholarships.
Anyhow, anyone have reports of 7 on 7 results? Not that they mean a whole lot.
The winner of the upper has to stay healthy and focused. C-view hasn't won anything this year until the final gun. Favorites, yes, but still they have to win.
Dogs' camp is doing well, with some new faces. Coach Mattes is doing a good job of getting some new players out of the school.
Just want to see a good competetive season from all schools and no injuries. Regardless of who wins, all players dedicated a lot of time and effort into the sport. Kudos to those young men.

Bulldog, if you mean why are the post showing up weird, I don't know. We haven't touch any of the controls.
If you are referring to something else, let me know.
I deleted the one post that had multiple quotes, and that seems to have corrected the problem.

Right now it looks like most fans are picking Crestview to win the league with Columbiana and Mineral Ridge as the closest contenders. But I wouldn't count out a couple other teams making a little noise in the league too! ;D

Here's a little question. Who do you think will be 3-0 going into game 4? Look at the schedules posted on this site and give a good guess. Of course, you know me, the Dogs will be 3-0 going into league play, along with C-view and maybe Columbiana. Any thoughts about the others?

Crestview has beefed up their out of league schedule. Going 3-0 to start the season is a tall order. St Clairsville and Tusky Valley will be tuff. Beaver although D3 has not performed like the Beaver of a few years back but should be physical. The addition of Monroe Central for Columbiana will be a challenge. EP's addition of Canton South will be a handfull. Honestly i will be suprised if anyone comes in to league play 3-0.
for the season Crestview has to be the favorite. Columbiana and Ridge as the closest challengers. I have to believe Range will return if not to challenge at least to push the leaders to the end. The rest will end up in no particular order. The biggest widcard has to be United. To much individual talent to ignore. If Ward can bring that team together as a unit they will play with anyone on their schedule and be right there in week 9 & 10.

I hear the same, tired thing every year from United. Win the league, or make the playoffs, and people may take you seriously. Until then....I see 5-5 AGAIN in your future!
