The league is week as always.. not sure how they can improve. Just look at playoff results, no other evidence need apply. Lowelville seems to ne the fav this year, but I don't see any one team being the team to beat.

This could be one of the most balanced years in the Lower Tier (not sure if that is good for the playoffs as you mentioned guest), but usually one team pulls out from the pack. The past couple of years it has been McDonald.

Welcome big60, great to have you aboard!
Hearing a lot of good things from McDonald. Coach Williams certainly has that program running on all cylinders.

attended Southern/United scrimmage Fri. and Southern is very big and physical up front. The double wing offense seems to fit thier personnel very well. A bruising in your face power game with an occasional play action pass thrown in. Looking at thier schedule i can see them going 7-3 possibly better if they stay healthy. If they can get past EP i could see them setting 5-0 going into week 6. The games at the end of the season with Lowellville and McDonald could decide the lower tier. Good luck Indians this may be the year you break into the playoffs.

Lets be real about Southern Local for a minute. Southern Local will not be 5-0 ever this year. Southern will not get past East Palestine in their opener on the Dogs field. Southern will have their hands full with Lisbon and Toronto both in their second and third games. Southern is to predictible and most teams know how to stop their jamed up offense. I don't see them changing much because their coaching staff has been doing the same thing since Alex Albert introduced the double wing to them. The only difference in their offense is that they now put their qb in the shotgun. Look for East Palestine to exploit Southern's offense and win 28-6

I would like to know what slobbers is talking about... Lisbon is down this year and Toronto will be better with Meek coaching. EP is also down but should be Tuff with their new coach. Milton is not up and coming and Wellsville is also hurting by numbers and lineman. After looking at Southerns schedule we decided it was very favorable 1st half. 5-0 going into 6th is doable!!! And anybody who has played against that dam double tight double wing hates to play it and as far as figuring it out it sucks because of the misdirection and ball fakes. That's why you see teams such as Lowellville now running Southerns offense. Southern may not be a playoff team but sits with a good first half season and by pulling off a few unexpected wins may surprise teams..

See a lot of bold talk, but can the Injuns walk the talk? Southern's game plan is way old, and to predict a 5-0 before the season starts is a mad mans prediction.

I wouldn't consider myself an Indians fan but i do respect thier style of play. If you look at my comments i said if they can get by Ep (and not an easy task at the dogs home field) I see the remainder of the first five games as favorable and winable. Wellsville is awfully young, Lisbon i believe is improving but not there yet, then followed by Toronto and JM. Everyone talks about there offense, i think i would be more concerned with thier defense. That huge front line and what appeared to be some decent LB's. The question mark is thier secondary. They really were not tested by United in the scrimmage but the safety did come up with a nice INT along the sidelines.
Bold? perhaps, but i'm going to go out on a limb and stick with it.

After seeing the results for week #1, has anyone changed their mind as to who they think will win the ITCL Lower Tier? Is McDonald due to come back to the pack, is Lowellville the team to beat, how about Southern or Leetonia?

Still say McDonald is the team to beat to win the league. Said it before they that may not be 10-0, but they have a very good chance to win another title.

Lowellville loss today at TCC 35-14. After seeing them play YCS and their loss today, I would say they go 6-4 or 7-3 at the very best.
