Lowellville could have their two injured starting linemen, Sanchez and Schiraldi, back in time for the Reserve game. Boy, could they benefit from their return..

I hope they both get back to playing. But I don't think that they are going to make that much difference.

Lets be real about Southern Local for a minute. Southern Local will not be 5-0 ever this year. Southern will not get past East Palestine in their opener on the Dogs field. Southern will have their hands full with Lisbon and Toronto both in their second and third games. Southern is to predictible and most teams know how to stop their jamed up offense. I don't see them changing much because their coaching staff has been doing the same thing since Alex Albert introduced the double wing to them. The only difference in their offense is that they now put their qb in the shotgun. Look for East Palestine to exploit Southern's offense and win 28-6 haha 28-6? we were really underestimated

I was talking to someone today and I hope they are wrong for the kids sake. They said that Sanchez will not be back period. And that Schiraldi would be out for four weeks with a partial acl tear. Like I said I hope they are wrong just for the kids.

Heard it from him myself. He has recovered some vision and could even play this week against springfield, although i highly doubt it. He's a good, tough player and a great leader but on any given play, he could be stricken blind permanently. I question if this is a smart move. It takes alot of heart and guts to risk your eyesight like he is but i pray it will not come to that.

Prediction.... Lisbon breaks the streak and beats wellsville I agree completely...I play for southern and although the score doesnt show it, they were very tough up front last week and they do have a lot of speed in terry and cook...from the wellsville/toronto film I watched they just dont seem very disiplined defensively and looked confused at times offensively

How about Western reserve they made loweville look like a jv team. I believe they are in the race for the league title and they also beat independance who is a real program, not like toronto who everyone is beatiing up on

Wow! When was the last time Sebring was ranked ahead of Mickey D? How about Southern? 6th in R23, ahead of Columbiana!

We will see how thing shake out, but I still have to go with McDonald to win the Lower tier title. And I hope that all the other teams keep winning all their games except one, when they play the Devils.

Mcdonald and Lowellville should be a good one. Mcdonald with their speed could win big but i believe the rockets will make it close. Lowellville is hurting though with all those injuries. I heard Sanchez is coming back though which is some good news for them. He's tough. but i think Mcdonald will win this one 21-14

I don't know if I would say they are weak on defense or offense. I will say they are not as strong as last year, but they have had to replace alot of people and they seem to be getting better. The defense has only given up 47 points so far. And 24 of them were to a very good Mineral Ridge team. There is alot of season left we will see what shakes out. I still say McDonald will be right in the mix for the title.
