Since we have a thread detailing the best teams since 2001, what about the best players?
Not in any order:
Corey Manfull, United David Rach, South Range Jordan Reynolds, Crestview Mike Welce, Columbiana Levi Leigh, Mineral Ridge Ryan Maxwell, South Range Vince Browne, Lisbon Aaron Merrill, Leetonia Smitty Kendrew, East Palestine Dan Schuler, Springfield
The first four were probably the best I've seen even though it isn't in any special order.

You might add J.D. Powers from Ep.

I'm also sure I forgot a ton of players from the 2001 South Range team, but they were so stacked that it's tough to pick even one or two.

Manfull was 2003 DIV Offensive Player of the Year...pretty impressive

If I had to add to your lists raiderqb....not criticizing, just adding...
Adam Fast and Derek Garrod on the Columbiana list and on mine they'd be above everyone but Welce.
Adam Thompson has to be on the Crestview list no lower than 4. What a player that kid was. Zech Parker and Tony Britton could find their way on there too. I remember their 2005 team had about 60% of the entire All TCL team so you could make a case for a lot of them.
Josh Grafton could make Lisbon's list. Maybe Jay Yorty too.
Now that I've seen a lot of the names that I forgot the first time if I had to trim it down to a super-exclusive top five I'd go:
Jordan Reynolds Mike Welce David Rach Corey Manfull A tie between Derek Garrod and Ryan Maxwell

I completly forgot about Derek Garrod - he is def right up there. As for Thompson/Parker/Britton they were great players as well. They are debatable in mind for my number 5 spot, I just found the other 4 to be simply better in this mans opinion. Grafton was a heck of aplayer and will be added. For an overall top 5, mine would look something like this, in no order:
Jason King (SR) - Mike Welce (COL) - Corey Manfull (UN) - Nate Schuler (SP) - David Rach (SR)/Jordan Reynolds (CR)

I also forgot to mention one of the best darn specialists that I have ever seen, Mineral Ridge's and YSU's very own, Brian Palmer. Palmer was a stud. I remember watching him in warmouts booting 55-60 yard field goals with ease. He made it look effortless and almost every kickoff was registered as a touchback.

Let us not forget the whole 2002 team from Ep... they all were great. they were known as Smitty and company....the whole team...each and every one of them contributed to the season as a team....in my opinion, there wasn't a team that was as much together in the old TCL as what this team was. Name one TCL school that made the D4 playoffs and went two games....the only answer is Ep....and if Ep didn't have to play Ursuline, it would have been more.... JMO.....
