With Columbiana (4-0) hosting South Range (2-2) and Crestview (3-1) hosting Springfield (4-0), who do you think will win these big games?
The Clippers seem to be on a roll right now while the Raiders started off slow, but seem to be back to themselves again. Can the Clippers continue to run the ball like they have the first four games? The Raiders have been more balanced on offense, will that make a difference?
The Rebels are the team to beat, but Springfield is undefeated. Can the talented skill players of the Tigers make some big plays to win the game? Can the Rebels continue their dominance over the ITCL?
Any one have some thoughts or want to try to provide some analysis of these games?

I'll comment on the "easier" game to predict, first... Crestview wins big unless they turn the ball over 4-5 times, enabling Springfield to capitalize w/ a few scores on short-fields. The View is simply too good of a team, and their performance against their non-league opponents prepared them well. I can't comment much more than to say... they're the Champs and they will likley perform like it. That said, Springfield is physical enough, and determined enough, to make it a much closer contest than paper would suggest. We'll see where and how the "ball bounces"...
SR & Columbiana - My prediction is that SR will have a substantial ground game and will dominate time of possession, making Columbiana's QB less relevant, and eeeking out a 3-7 pt victory. That said, it should be a close contest unless one or the other gets 2+ advantage in turnover dept. and turns them into pts. Both teams are capable enough of trouncing the other under the right conditions, so turnovers will be key...

What we billed as "Showdown Friday" turned into blowout Friday as Columbiana and Crestview really showed their dominance. It looks like now we are already down to a two-horse race with these two teams meeting in two weeks at Firestone Park.
Springfield is still there, but they will need to continue winning, hope for a Clipper win over Crestview and come up with a big win against Columbiana on October 21st.

Excuse me Mr. ITCL WebPage, but although the Clappers and Rubbles are "showing their dominance", they are very ripe for someone in the lower ranks to knock 'em off. That could be this coming Friday as Spaite brings his Clippers to Ep. Lord already knows records usually mean nothing in this game. However, one thing is for sure, after losing two games in the last seconds, the Dog squad is pretty rabid at this point. JMO and I do hope Clipper 1970 jumps on this with his comments.......... Quite frankly, the small in numbers Dogs are about 30 seconds at Miserable Ridge and Springfield Loco and a couple questionable calls at Southern from being 4-1.

You can't really be serious Crestview could send their Jv team and it would be a good game. If you haven't noticed the 2 teams you almost beat we just beat 58 to 7 and 49 to 0 Talk all the crap you want we'll see what the score is when the game is finished the rubbles.

I was incorrect on my prediction that SR would beat Columbiana, but I was spot on regarding a possible trouncing... Congrats to the Clips! They (the Clips) will really, really, have to have a perfect game in 2 weeks, to have a chance at victory. And it wouldn't hurt if the stars are aligned just right... :>) Crestview's biggest challenge for the second half of the season is not looking ahead too much to week 11.

NOTICE: The Clippers from the "CITY" of Columbiana will be traveling to the "village" of east palestine to meet the dogs on Friday night. This will be a good game between two "high school" ITCL teams that have a lot of pride. I am hoping for a safe game with no injuries for either team. I also appreciate '74's enthusiasm for "his" team. I've observed (over the years) that he is 200% for the Bulldogs--no matter what the situation! That, is a true fan. Although he "always" sees the games through rose colored glasses. I applaude him for his steadfastness in support of his team!
Way to go '74!

Same goes for 1970, he is a true clipper, although his very roots are here in the 'village'. BTW 1970, just ignore the low intellegence level of that hayseed from the C-farm.

No comment from me regarding low-intelligence '74. I think EVERYONE reading this can determine that!
