Heard it from Mr. B, Crestview's Athletic Director. It's all true.
And I don't know if it's total enrollment or enrollment 9-11, because the seniors won't be there next year. So that may have something to do with the numbers.

Here are some numbers to look at.....Bulldog74 I believe, thinks its based upon the entire school district, however, I believe the ITCL goes by the OHSAA enrollment.
2008 OHSAA Enrollment: School - Boys - Girls - Total
East Palestine 162-160-322 South Range 158-159-317 United 161-152-313 Springfield 130-162-292 Mineral Ridge 151-128-279 Lisbon 125-133-258 Crestview 133-120-253 Columbiana 121-118-239 Southern 122-107-229 McDonald 121-103-224 Jackson-Milton 118-102-220 Wellsville 110- 99-209 Western Reserve 106- 99-205 Leetonia 103- 77-180 Lowellville 94- 85-179 Sebring 86- 73-159
That would mean that Ridge's and Lisbon numbers have dropped significantly, while Jackson-Milton and Southern's rose quite a bit.

WebPage, No, I know it isn't the whole district, I was just using that as a guideline, as it is from 2010 the site I posted. They would need about 200 more in the district to reach the upper level. Take a look at it.

I don't understand why 200 keeps coming up. It's only based on 9-11 enrollment. If you look at the numbers for OSHAA enrollment (thats what the ITCL looks at) for the 08 school year JM would only need an increase of 19 students to be tied with Columbiana.
I believe the new numbers had this order 1. Range 2. United 3. EP 4. Crestview 5. Columbiana 6. Southern 7. Springfield 8. JM
I looked at them but I'm not 100% sure if this was the order. But it's pretty close.

And looking at those numbers give by ITCL. I'm positive it's based on grades 9-11. I know Sebring is a small school but they don't have an average of 40 students per grade level. And I'm sure EP isn't graduating 80 per grade level. So those must be grades 9-11.
And it makes sense because the seniors won't be there the next year so they won't be counted.

Sorry Bulldog, I mis-understood you.
Your right Rebelpride, those numbers are from the 9-11 grade enrollment taken in the fall of 2008.

If you are going to do it right, drop Edison and Carrollton, add Marlington and Canton South.

Here are the final OHSAA numbers for the 2011-2012 divisions:
School - Boys - Girls - Total
1. South Range 165 - 152 = 317 2. East Palestine 147 - 144 = 291 3. United 130 - 152 = 282 4. Crestview 151 - 117 = 268 5. Springfield 126 - 134 = 260 6. Lisbon 125 - 114 = 239 7. Mineral Ridge 118 - 117 = 235 8. Jackson-Milton 119 - 114 = 233 9. Southern 122 - 110 = 232 10.Columbiana 130 - 101 = 231 11.Wellsville 111 - 110 = 221 12.McDonald 98 - 113 = 211 13.Western Reserve 91 - 96 = 187 14.Leetonia 84 - 101 = 185 15.Lowellville 78 - 87 = 165 16.Sebring 72 - 62 = 134
As you can see, just 8 students separate Lisbon from Columbiana, with Mineral Ridge, Jackson-Milton, and Southern all in the middle. Don't be surprised if in two years the ITCL makes yet another change to the two tiers.

EP had over 500 total for both boys and girls in the 3 grade count, if the ITCL existed back in the 60's to late 80's.. Times have changed drastically.
