So far, all be it just two weeks into the 2013 season, the Lower Tier has a record of 14-2 while the Upper Tier teams hold a record of 7-9. The Lower Tier has also gone 4-1 in inter-league games. So is the Lower Tier better than the Upper Tier? Would the Lower Tier teams have the same success in the Upper Tier? What are your thoughts?

Looks like the Morning Journal took notice of the same dominance that the Lower Tier has displayed this year so far. ITCL Lower Tier Teams Throw Weight Around September 17, 2013 By MICHAL S. BURICH - Staff Writer , Morning Journal News As this weekend's games came to a close there was plenty of good news for the Inter-Tri County League lower tier. The ITCL lower tier completed the non-league portion of the schedule with an impressive 19-5 record and went 6-1 against playoff teams from a year ago. Just for fun... I'd enjoy an ITCL unified championship game. Winner of the upper tier vs. the winner of the lower tier. After the regular season-after the playoffs. Maybe even with a traveling trophy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would've enjoyed a Crestview vs. Western Reserve game- especially with the teams they've produced recently.

I have to agree with rebel4life in that a unified Upper Tier vs Lower Tier championship game would be a fun event. It might also make it more fun to play it on a neutral ITCL field and eliminate the home field advantage. The problem would be when to schedule such a game.

I AGREE WITH REBEL AND 64 , A UPPER/LOWER ITCL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IS A GREAT IDEA. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT GAME EVERY SEASON. HOLD THE GAME AFTER THE PLAYOFF ARE OVER FOR BOTH TEAMS.
