I know its early, but who do you think will win the Lower Tier next year? We are returning a lot next year down here in McDonald, i think 7 on offense and 8 on deffense so we should be good. You would think Leetonia and Reserve will be pretty good, i think lowellville will be good. anyone else, here are my VERY early predictions
1) McDonald 2) Leetonia 3) Lowellville 4) Western Reserve 5) Wellsville 6) Southern 7) Jackson Milton 8) Sebring

I haven't had a chance to see what everyone has coming back next year, but certainly McDonald is very capable to repeat as Lower Tier Champions.

lowellville will return alot of its skill positions but our line is a little bit shakey as we graduated all but one of out starting linemen but i think we will be ok.

I think that is true for a number of teams in both the upper and lower tiers. The real advantage that Lowellville has is starting a two year experienced QB in Depasquale.
rblowellvillecb, how are the numbers for the rockets in the off-season lifting and such? Dispite being one of the smallest schools in the ICL, and now ITCL, Lowellville always seems to have good numbers every year.

I THINK RESERVE, MCDONALD, AND LEETONIA ARE ALL THE FAVS, BUT RESERVE IS GETING STRONGER AND BETTER. NOT TO MENTION MORE EXPERIENCED THEN LAST YEAR

One great thing about the ITCL (both tiers) is that any team can win the league any given year. Its such a crapshoot and hard to tell who will stand alone at the top by the end of the season. I don't know much about the returning teams in the lower tier but I would say that based on the past few years that Leetonia, Reserve, and McDonald would have to be considered at the top of the league predictions.

Lowellville is looking pretty good they have a decent senior class coming in including stud lineman Cory Previtte who started every game last year earning second team all league honors and first team all league and all NEO second team, "demon" linebacker John Vasilcheck who was on almost every tackle. There are also some really stong underclassmen that are going to make an impact this year, including the junior high team that dominated the league two years ago going undeafeted. The line is questionable but we have some big kids like 6'6 320 lbs sophomore Bill Burrows. If we can get im in shape he will be an absolute monster. I would start watching out because the future is extremely bright for the Rockets.

Lowellville should have a pretty decent year. We did lose alot of senior starters, but our junior class isn't bad. Our skill positions shouldn't have a problem. Joe DePasquale should have an excellent 3rd year of starting varsity, and I expect it will be his best ever. Its the Offensive line that i'm worried about. we lost all but one of our starters there. But i'm sure our staff will figure something out. we may need to switch our offense around a little, but we'll be okay. Nevertheless, Lowellville will deffinately be a strong force in the lower tier in the coming years.

zeus, we had a chance to talk with coach Assion, and left with the opinion that if the right person took the head coaching job, along with all the experince that the Blue Jays have coming back, they could be a very diffcult team to beat this year. I'm looking forward to see how they fare this fall.

Thank you Wykidwytch!!! That has been a hot rumor on a number of message boards, including this one. That is good news for the Wellsville faithful.
