Relax on the digs lightning, everyone has their hometown favorites. Tell us why Crestview will win instead of the personal comments.

Although lightenings attempt to insight a heated discussion is falling on deaf ears----history says the Rebels usually have pulled out the wins against the Clips in years past. But every year there are new lads who put on the pads and have high hopes of a win!
I say Good luck to both teams and I hope it is a injury free game with GREAT sportsmanship by both the lads and and fans!

My vote goes for Crestview. Reasons: 1) Their out-of-league competition was stronger, 2) They perform at a consistently high level, 3) They put up alot of points, 4) They make few mistakes, and 5) Defending Champs. For those that want to debate Reason #1 (and think 1-5 Beaver Local and 0-6 East Liverpool are weak teams) ... let's hear from you! :>) Personally, I think Crestview is the ONLY ITCL team that would finish at 5-5 or better if they played either EP's or BL's schedule.
That said... Columbiana is a very good team! I just think they have much less room for error than does CR and will need their "D" to come up with a couple turnovers leading to scores. Good luck to both squads for a hard-fought and injury-free game.

Now that Lightning has all the roosters in the chicken coop crowing, C-view better beat Columbiana or all the cows on the farm will be giving sour milk again!

I like 84's second paragraph. The Clips need an error free game and the "D" needs to come through. Here's a "brief" comment on paragraph #1: Monroe Central is no pushover. Their Q-back is being touted as one of the BEST in Ohio! I was at the game and that Q-back was on his back the whole game! In Region 17 Monroe Central just jumped ahead of Columbiana this week. Obviously, they aren't too bad. Woodsfield (Monroe Central) has the same record as C-view (5-1).
One other point that needs to be made: C-view played two "very weak" Division 3 teams and garnered a lot of points by playing and winning against D-3. The only other major points were gathered by beating Springfield. Prior to C-view, the only winning team Springfield played was Y-town Christian. Everyone else has loosing records except for McDonald and they're .500.
All that said--Crestview has had the Clippers number over the past years and I'm sure they will bring their best! We'll see Friday night in Firestone Stadium.
....................oh, by the way, I remember the last time these two met with undefeated seasons--1994. I think it was 21 - 0 at the half and the final was 24-21 Clippers! My son ran the go ahead touchdown into the endzone while the Clips were on D.

I just went to Cal Preps Project a Matchup and here is what they say regarding this game:
Crestview (Columbiana, OH) 31, Columbiana (OH) 26

Also is the fact that C-view is ranked lower than Columbiana and Southern in D5 R17.
Columbiana is at home and C-view doesn't play well at Firestone. Columbiana wins this in the last quarter.

All said, I think most agree that this game should be a great one for the fans! I predict Crestview pulls away in the 4th. Final score... something like 38-21.

No I'm here I just didn't want to insult you and make you cry. So insult away Crusty from Scumbiana and I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens on Friday. I'm sure Scumbiana will dominate Crestview like they always do right!!!!! lets let the kids play and all the Crusties can go down to the Legion and talk crap about what could have been. Sorry gotta go down to the barn and milk the cows. Just a side note don't try to milk the bull Crusty.

Lightning, Who are you referring to as "Crusty from Scumbiana"? If you are referring to me, we have NEVER spoken before, I've never seen you or met you, and we have NEVER crossed paths on the boards... So are you referring to me?
Clearly you can read! And if so, you can see by my postings that I am neither attacking, boasting nor putting down ANYONE on this board----so do you see a problem here? If you are referring to Dog74--he is from East Palestine, not Columbiana. Neither does he deserve the name calling I am reading from you!
Here is a FACT: I would like you to go to the OHSAA website and try to find New Waterford Crestview or East Fairfield Crestview...you will quickly discover that there is NOT such a listing! The Rebels are listed as "Columbiana" Crestview! I'm not being rude here. I'm just educating. Maybe you are referring too someone from Columbiana Crestview? If so I appologize for my error!
