Skiba is a better football player. Hill and Mclaghlin are better QBs. The QB position is the only position on the field that these other guys have an edge on him. Maybe pulling guard im not sure skiba has pretty good footwork. lol

Enough with the comments boys. If you have something to add as to why your candiadate should be a MVP then lets discuss that.

Honestly, and this may come to a shocker especially to you rebel fans, but really, besides team record, what does Hill have over either Skiba and McLaughlin? Skiba was Ridges best defensive player and McLaughin was huge on D for the Eagles, Hill didn't even play defense. And by the numbers, Skiba and McLaughlin both have Hill beat. I mean yes the kid is a winner, but Robert Horry is a winner but not the MVP. If we were talkin about a guy running for 1600 yards and scoring 27 touchdowns that played for Lisbon (no disrespect just based off how they did in the league this year) or a guy who throws for 2500 and runs for another 1000 on a team like Lisbon then I can see where Hill would jump ahead. But we aren't. We are talking about a team in United who went to the playoffs. We are talking about a team in Mineral Ridge who was playing for a league title in week 10. We are talking about two good football teams. Yes Crestview is better but United and Ridge were good teams this past season. I don't care what either of these teams or players did last year or the year before or in grade school. What matters is this year, and an MVP as much as you may hate to admit, is an individual award earned in a team sport. If we were talkin whos won the most games, then yes Carter Hill wins, however he already got his award for that when Crestview won the league championship so lets leave that there. And your so caught up on what Ridge and United did the past 3 years and how great Hills career has been which it has been. But heres something to try and humble you a little bit. Carter Hills 4 year record against the Rams is only 2-2, and Crestviews last 5 against the Rams is 2-3.
I see it in this order: McLaughlin, Skiba, Hill......Although I do believe Skiba is the best player.

Take Hill off C-view and what happens. They probably end up a pathetic 7-3 or 6-4(funny how that's the other 2's record this year) Do they win the league? probably not.
Take seabass or mclovin off the other teams and what happens. They don't win the league . Same as what they did WITH them.
Head to head:
week 5
hill 133 rushing 3td's+127 passing and 1 td=260 4 td's won 30-19 mclovin 53 rushing 0tds+259 3tds=309 3 td's lost 19-30
week 10 hill 161 rushing + 111 passing 2tds = 272 2 td's won 42-31 seabass 187 rushing 3tds lost 31-42
Pretty obvious that Hill is the MVP. Also Hill was Big 22 two years in a row. Were the other 2? nope.

First of all, nobody cares what Hill did last year. Second of all, take McLaughlin off United and I assure you they do not go 7-3. The kid accounted for >80% of their offense. And as for Skiba, take him off the Rams, and you have a 2 win team. You obviously didn't watch very many games besides your cview boys. And I didn't see the United vs Cview game, but as for the Ridge vs Cview game, Skiba accounted for 4 touchdowns (3 rushing, 1 recieving), I think that is 24 of 31 points scored by Ridge, and forced two fumbles on your boy Hill so to say Hill outplayed him is nonsense. Hill. Hill had more total yards but once again prolly touched the ball twice as many times as Skiba, and Skiba plays both ways. Just face it. Carter Hill is a very very good player on a very very good team, but Skiba and Mclaughlin had better individual seasons which is what this award is based off of.

No, YOU are missing the point. With Hill C-view won the title. Without him they do not. Simple as that. MVP stands for MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. You proved my point for me. United and MR did not win the title WITH those players. 2-8 or 6-4 DOES NOT MATTER. You still did not win the league. You are not thinking outside the box here. Besides stats, Hill is also making checks at the line and putting his teammates into the right play for success. I'm sure he could have put up video game stats like mclovin did if he wanted to be more selfish. But he was more focused on WINNING than his own stats(mabey the other 2 should have followed his lead). mabey that's why Hill won 3 league titles. I'm also sure that Hill doesn't care if he wins some poll on a podunk that means nothing. He won what he wanted to. As far as the other 2.......nothing.

Maybe some of you should listen to the administrator. I believe the mvp is based on individual performance. It doesn't matter if you play for Crestview, Ridge, United, Columbiana, etc.... If you can post that weather a team makes it, or doesn't make it to the playoffs is based on one player, the only thing you are accomplishing is slamming the rest of the team who made it possible for that particular to do so well. This isn't a personal jab at anyone, just seems to be getting way off base.

if you go by pure stats and importance to team hands down it would go to McLaughlin form United (not mclovin)! The way I see it: McLaughlin - Skiba - Hill

McLaughlin, Skiba, Hill....McLaughlin had best individual season, Skiba was the best playmaker, and Hill was the best player on the best team.

If Mineral Ridge is such a bad football team, then why did they beat the almighty Crestview in 09? And if you haven't heard of Skiba, he had both the touchdowns in that win..

According to this websites stats, Skiba was 5/7 passing 81yards, 144 rushes 1632 yards, 7 receptions 117, for a total of 1830 yards on Offense. Thats 12.0 yards every time he touches the ball. He also had one of the best net. punt averages in the area I think 3rd in Ints and not to mention probally the best punt and kick returner around. Add all of those yards from int, punt and kick return yards and he is close to 2500 or more yrds.

And that resulted in what? oh yeah, 6-4 and no playoffs. It means nothing, zip, zilch, nada.
