The Devils will certainly miss some quality players like Moherman. I think the Devils will be hard pressed to repeat as ITCL Tier 2 champions. However, Coach Kopachy has the Devils program headed in the right direction, and could surprise a lot people again this year.

WR did lose alot of seniors, 5 lineman who got into the rotation, their QB, and some of there RB roation, Not to mention the MVP of the penn ohio game Chris Truit
But i dont get why everyone is talkin bout what there losing and not about what is coming back they run the spread with3 of 4 starting recievers coming back #9 nate lude #24 Matt Kalbfell #14 Kory Kasten (also plays tight end)
#80 clayton hull recieved a ton of playing time as a freshmen and has really stepped up his game in the passing scrimmages
Others to look out for are #43 tom burton and #1 justin lude if he can recover rom a torn acl
sophmore QB #7 Shane Ewing has stepped in and has his team believing......not many know but he threw farther than last years alll state QB and his accuracy is only getting better.....the only question mark is will he make the throws hes making now under pressure with guys in his face..... #9 Nate lude can also step in and do a fantastic job.....likes to do more with the legs.... the boys got speed
alot of people said WR had no run game last year yet they had 2 people run for over 500 yards and another just miss 500
they lose QB 503 yards And #12
but they have a senior #34 Jason Lude returning who had just bout 80 carries for over 500 yards......he'll be looking to carry the load this year.....hes gotten alot faster and put on about 15 pounds....the kid just looks for people to run through....i expect big things form this young man this yr....also keep ur eyes on sophmore #5 paul ardity.....he looks small but the boy is like lightning.......
anchoring the line this year will be junior Joe Procick #75 the kid is flat out a monster.....i will be shocked if he dont make all league....there are also a few seniors out who didnt play last year.....these boys r big, fast, and look for people to hit....there physicality should make up for lack of experience
WR also returns sophmore kicker david duncan.... missed most of last season with a broken bone.....dont be fooled by his size......watched him warm up the other day and was booting 40 yarders.......extra points shouldnt be a problem.....as long as he doesnt let game pressure get to him
as we all know field position is very inportant #21 bill jawhari returns this year after a shaky carear........all league as a freshmen.......missed all of sophmore season with a surgery.....came back last year and led the league in all punting stats......no one knows how he didnt get all league.....but hes back so look for big things
idk much bout their defense but i know its scrappy......they havnt aloud many scores in the passing scrimmages.......they got some big boys to plug up the front lead by #75..........#14 has also been switched from an OLB to defensive end.........they return Sr #34 at OLB and all league linebacker #44 Bob Banks.....boy he is fun to watch....i already see him jacking people in passing scrimmages......#9 and #24 return in the secondary but the other 2 got alot of playing time last year........as long as they can stop the run.....they will win many games
reserve is also on a 10 game victory streak in passing games......they've beaten the likes of south range, crestview, and hammered columbiana
as long as they are not plagued by injuries i expect big things from this Young WR team this year
WR4Life stay focused boys mathews is almost here

WRLife: Great insight. I don't know to much about Western Reserve over the past couple of years other than them not being "up to par" but the past two years they have been a pleasure to watch. They had an amazing season last year and I wish them continued success. It will be hard to replace that QB of yours. He was def something special. Truit will def be missed as well as will the other graduates. The Ludes look to be on the rise and are solid players as is your young SO QB Ewing. He won't step right in and play like Moerhman (SP) didbut he is still young and hopefully he gets his kinks worked out in two-a-days. I also like Billy Jawhari as a punter and linebacker, and of course Bobby Banks who looks solid on D as a great linebacker. He reminds me of the linebacker you guys had a couple of years ago when still in the ICL(possibly 2-4 years ago).

Western Reserve will still have alot this year. They may have lost a good group of seniors but the underclassmen of last year stepped up to bring the title home last year. I expect to see big years from Nate Lude, Jason Lude, Kory Kasten, Joe Procick, and Matt Kalbfell. There are some good senior leaders in that group. If they believe, they've seen what can happen. I hope that this team takes what they learned from last season and uses it this year to repeat in the league. Believe you can win and beat Mathews!

Thanks WRLife for the great post! Definitely coach Kopachy has the program getting better each year. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Devils get another playoff appearance under their belts this year.

devils are now 13-0 in last week or so of passing scrimmages... the team loooks liek they are comming together really well... The defence still has gave up little points. and the beat mcdonald garfield and mogadore field.. The offence looked pretty solid today 2... should look for some big plays from some great players once season time comes...

i didnt catch reserves last passing scrimmage but talked to people who did and they said reserve did really well
they won all their games including an a** whooping to rival McDonald..i am told that young QB shane ewing did throw a pick but responded very well and looked impressive
just wandering what ur guys thoughts are on the top players in the lower division
QB- u got to go krumpak from mcdonald....third year starting....returns some weapons....i see big things from him....
RB- i dont know if neone can do what puckett did last year but now i have to go kruegle from leetonia with WR Jay Lude inching right behind him......
WR hands down i have to go nate lude from WR....exspecially with all their weapons he is to hard to stop.....if carter from wellsville stops being lazy then he'll be up there too
lineman either way well im a big fan of joe procick and the man is a beast.....i exspect big things this yr from him.....but i think wellsville has this kid returning.....he was a monster last season....i cant think of his name.....but he plays center and nose guard.....this guys can be scary
LB- Have to go with Jr Bob Banks from reserve.....when he plays like he knows how too...he can be a monster.....i think leetonia has some linebackers returning as well
DB- i would say there are about 5 to worry bout this up coming season.......got to go with my boys nate lude and matt kalbfell from reserve......matt is a small kid but im predicting him to be the #1 DB in the league this year......also carter from wellsville.....that kid from loweville is decent too.....and dont hat me WR but sebring or not......5 picks is 5 picks....so balont is up there as well
well let me here ur thoughts
WR4Life
about 5 weeks away boys
mathews will be here keep up the good work

qb- i think that krumpak from mcdonald will be the one 2 shine, show his stats from last season. rb- i have to go with jason lude. this kid is a beast and hes got alot more weight on him than last year and he will be hard to take down.. Also i like krugel from lettiona.
wr- im going to have to go with nate lude or zane carter... but last year agaisnt reserve i rember that zane didnt have one catch.. nate lude has some wheels and has some amazing hands.
line- im gonna have to go with the kid from wellsville.. he was a monster.
lb- im gonna have to go with bob banks.. i have seen this kid play and he hits like a truck, and he can play when he wants to. jason lude will be one to watch for 2 at outside..
db im gonna go with nate liude and kalbfell...they both are quick and are good at coverage..
what does everyone else think...

WR will go 7-3 or better ... Important games include Mathews, Leetonia, and McDonald ... I think these are 3 must win games if they have any chance of making the playoffs ...
Ewing will do well this season and hopefully the line provides enough protection for him to do so
Nate and Jason Lude will need to be the senior leaders to push this team farther then last year

i think that wr will go 8-2.. i think the tough games will be mcdonald and leetonia.. i think that their line will determine how good they are this season with losing alot of their line from last year
the defence should be good this year with lude kasten kalbfell banks and nate lude..

? for you WR fans. A couple years back I remember a couple of Lude boys that grew up in the South Range district. Are these boys the ones playing WR or am I thinking of another family. I know there are a ton of Ludes out that way but I was almost certain a couple of youngsters went to South Range with a nephew of mine. Good luck to you against the Mustangs in week one.

Raider QB... Nick played last year for WR and graduated and his younger brother Nate is a senior playing this year... they both moved to reserve from south range in junior high... There father is also a coach at reserve... The other ludes are their cousins jason and justin...
