Well I can't believe we are heading into week 8 already. This game is huge for both teams and probably for the league championship, although you can't count out Mineral Ridge, plus huge implications in points for the playoffs. Crestview is at home but South Range always plays Crestview tough. I think Crestview wins in a close one!!!! Crestview 28 Range 21

Paper stats might indicate that CR wins by a comfy margin, but I wouldn't feel too comfortable making any sizeable wager on that. This game is such a big rival and BOTH teams possess the talent to win this game. My thoughts are that it'll boil down to which offense owns the majority of the clock, and does a better job of converting turnovers into points. Minus any turnover differential, the team that plays the best defense late in the second half wins. That said... SR by three, 27-24. Good luck to both teams for an injury-free, "Spirited" game!

Do you mean the TV game of the week? They have a pretty good too in Girard (5-2) at Campbell (6-1), however it seemed like they always showed this game when these two programs hooked up.
What REALLY surprises me is that no radio stations are covering this big game. I guess us fans of the ITCL and small schoolf football will just have to go out and watch it in person.

A little surprised tha there hasn't been a little more chatter on this one. Although I'm relatively sure that coaches Cusick and Yeagley have a strict gag order on their players this week. We will be there with pictures, a game recap, interviews and video highlights.

South Range has "come-back-power" but Crestview has too many weapons this year!

Was a SR player ejected last night? I thought so, but I could be mistaken.

You must be talking about number 75 and I don't think he was thrown out but the coach from Range pulled him from the game. South Range has a great program and the coach is nothing but a class act. Good luck with the rest of your season. Hope you still make the playoffs

Looks like Crestview is hitting its stride at the right time. I don't think anyone expected that kind of defensive domination. Week 10 could be a very interesting matchup with Ridge. If the Rams get by Columbiana a win against Crestview should vault them right into the playoffs and give them share of the crown. Crestview needs the win to win the title outright and secure home-field in week 11, plus the fact that Ridge was the only blemish on Crestview's '09 regular season... Wow! What a matchup!

Was really impressed with Crestview Friday night. As eaglefan said, it looks like Crestview is hitting their stride, and getting set for the playoffs. The Rebels were able to pass against SR at will. I'm not sure if the SR pass defense is suspect (Haven't seen them enough to make that judegment), or if the Rebel QB and receivers are just that talented.
SR will certainly need to re-group, and I'm sure Yeagley will do so with his team. But the United game may be a playoff game for both as they may both be on the playoff "bubble".
