SR is facing a Springfield team that used to BE their biggest rival! I'm talking the 80s and 90s here (yeah, I'm old... . Wouldn't the Tigers just love to knock the Raiders down a notch? Will the Raiders continue to show they've re-discovered their winning ways -OR- will the Tigers prevail and get back in the Title hunt?

I don't know what to think of Springfield. They open up the season well against the out of league schedule and then drop a real bomb against Crestview, then return to pound Lisbon. I don't know if mistakes cost them early in the Crestview game and it just snowballed out of control or what. I really can't see Range letting this game slip through their fingers but with this being such a backyard rival game anything can happen.

Interview with coach Yeagley last night, "This game is pivital to the season for both teams."

True it is - pivital fo' sure! That said, I think SR will fire off with both barrels and really take it to the Tigers. Crestview really overpowered the Tigers and I think SR "views" that game (no pun intended) as a measuring stick for themselves, so they will want to take care of business. Should be a "spirited" contest - I'll take my Raiders by a couple scores. Good luck to both Teams and here's hoping for NO injuries to either side!

i find it funny how everyone in the preseason could do nothing but criticize south range and how terrible they were going to be and now they are saying how s.r will have the game over by the half. Either be loyal through the bad times or don't even jump back on the wagon. my favorite quote on all of these boards was Re: 2010 Season « Reply #25 on Feb 8, 2010, 7:30pm » "Yeah south range will be REAL good lol. All that talent returing off a 2-8 joke. lol." by sdgsdgggh Guest

Posters who criticize any team or player are usually, 1) immature (teenager, maybe?), 2) ignorant about one or more topics (as pertaining to ITCL football), or 3) just trying to stir up emotion. In any case, we'd all be better off just ignoring such individuals and not be led into their "web". That being said, there is nothing wrong with taking a stand or giving a controversial opinion on a topic, and backing it up with good solid reasons. From there, we can all then agree, disagree, or agree to disagree! THAT is what makes this site all the more interesting. GOOD LUCK SR and Tigers players!!

bigdipper2010 - watch the bashing of players... even a little. There's no call for it. And it won't be tolerated.

South Range still has to show it is a contender by beating C-View.

I think SR has already showed itself as being a contender. At least according to my definition of the word (one who is in a position to contend for something). Let's not forget - last year when SR was clearly NOT a contender for the ITCL title, they lost to CR by just 3.

Are they in a position to "contend"? They barely beat a mediocre Springfield team.
