I'm hoping the Bulldogs can pull this one through! The Eagles are ALWAYS tuff at home. What are your thoughts?

I suspect EP will have difficulty with United's QB. No team has been able to completely shut him down. You take away his ability to make plays thru the air he takes off and will put 150 or more yards on you on the ground. Salem and Crestview were both able to contain him enough on the ground but sacrificied 250-300 yards thru the air. Hey, it worked for both of those teams. Key for United is to contain Salyers and force him to pass. Make EP play into the strength of thier defense, the secondary. If Salyers is able to make plays offensively then it will turn into a shootout and either team can win. If United has any hopes of a week 11 appearance they cannot let this game slip away. I suspect McLaughlin will put up some huge numbers.

I predict United shows zero "hangover" from the Crestview loss, and comes to take care of business in their quest to make the playoffs. The Bulldogs will not make it an easy night however! It'll be a battle, but the U pulls away in the 3rd quarter on the arm and legs of their Q/back.

The young Dogs have learned a lot this season, the education will continue this evening at Hanoverton. Just remember, play hard, play smart and play safe. Good Luck!

For what it is worth, I think the young Dogs beat themselves this game. This was a possible win if those redzone inadaquacies are eliminated. The game was much closer than what the score shows.

Salyers is good looking back. He should be a first team selection. I looked at the stats this year and he has put up some outstanding numbers. I was a bit confused as to why EP doesn't use Barnhouse more in the offense. He has great speed and good hands. He didn't seem to get a lot of offensive action until United had the game in hand and had the reserve unit in.

I wasn't at the game, but Barnhouse has been battling an ankle injury from earlier in the season, which has limited his time. He's a threat. Hope he continues to heal.

EP definitely could have won that game if not for the turnovers in the redzone.
As far as Barnhouse goes, he has been battling injury, but in the 4 games he has played has fumbled the ball 5 times. I'm sure the coaches can't be happy with that with a team that can't afford to turn the ball over if they are going to win.
I think Derek Smith needs to get more touches he is going to be a stud in the upcoming years for EP.
