If EP plays football like they play on here.....4 on 1....then they might win. But it's a big might.

If EP plays football like they play on here.....4 on 1....then they might win. But it's a big might. You mean Jumpball? First off, both squads are ranked by joe ertiel(SP?) site as #1 in both respective regions. Second, both squads are 3-0, simular teams, 2D6 and a D3, but Ep did beat a seasoned playoff D3 team in Field, Clips beat a D3 Struthers team that is down. then there is SCC...a common foe. and we know both outcomes. so much for the talk. Facts are: One of the longest rivalries in the state. Two of the most experienced squads in the ITCL UPPER. Three the game is in Ep, and in front of a very rabid fan base, similar to '01 and '02. And HUGE... Four, the real talking is on the field, we can talk and post all we want, but both squads will do the real talking on the field. Good Luck to both teams, but the Dogs do have the add in this, by a few.....

Yes, he only played till the middle of the second quarter. he twisted his ankle is what I heard. John Richie took over after that, he was our QB last year. There was also a few drives were we got inside the 5 and just fell on the ball. then we took a few delay of game penalties, and a couple of knees just to run the clock down in the fourth quater without running the score up. we just kicked field goals from there. Why make the score worse than it has to be right?

That information is given on a need to know basis. This week our QB might be Barbato, Richie, or Fay???

The intensity just got turned up another notch in this game, besides being #1 in both respective regions, both school are now STATE RANKED in the AP. Dogs are 6th in D5 and Clippers #9 in D6. Adds to the fire that is already burning....

Wow, this will be a hard fought game for for both teams. I didn't think the rankings came out until next week, thanks for the info.

What is really sad is the fact that this game is NOT THE MYVALLEYSPORTS game of the week. Two local state ranked teams and no coverage. Guess we all take a back seat to Mooney and Harding...

Thats wrong, I thought for sure they would be at this one, it doesn't get much bigger. There's alot on the line so early in the season. This resembles a playoff game.

OK, heres my opinion. My oldest son is a sophmore at ysu, the last time EP beat Columbiana, he was in 7th grade!!!! At the end of last year Ep was coming on strong, they were known as "the team to beat". They were fighting for a playoff spot and, at the very least, the honor to say the were the ones that knocked Columbiana out of the playoffs. They came with the same talk, the same attitude and went home with their tails between their legs ( pun intended) with a 39 to 13 loss. You keep talking about the 40 points scc scored on us, it was the first game of the season with our QB's first start ever. If your so much better because you beat them easier then we did then lets talk about EP's first week. You barely squeeked one out against Southern, Southern barely beat Lisbon, Lisbon hasn't won a game in like 2 years...HHMMM.... You say it was due to injuries. IS Ep that shallow that if one player goes down they fall apart?? Its a long season sir. You talk about Field being a seasoned playoff team, Columbiana is a VERY seasoned playoff team. You talk about your rabid fans... Columbiana continually has more fans at AWAY games than the home team does. If we are both #1 in our regions, and state ranked, I think it will be a much bigger battle than you could ever imagine. Playoff atmosphere? The Clippers are used to playoff atmospheres, they're in them EVERY year!!! I'll take the Clips, if the dogs win this year ( finally), next year I'll look at it a little closer, but prove me wrong first!!
