From what I hear Kirtland is lucky to have made it in the playoffs and I don't see this being much of a game. To bring in common opponents they lost to Independence while SR man handled them. I know that doesn't mean much now but its a start. SR wins big this week at home and moves on to round number 2.

I agree. It may be a bit early to say this, but I think we will be seeing a South Range/ Ursuline match up for the regional championship!

I have not heard of the injury to Bensinger, but I can confirm that the Raiders fullback has been suspended due to a violation of team rules. Please, do not go beyond that on this message board. Due to these being minors (15-17 years old), it is better to leave any details to the suspension left alone. Thank you.

WOW! I think a lot of people were surprised by this game. The hornets came to play and found the chinks in the Raider D. It looked like a blowout early but the Hornets really turned it into a game with the score right before half (I still don't think he got in on the sneak), and the score right after the half. Madden threw the ball well for them and like their coach stated the WR were open pretty much all night. They used a good mixture of trick plays to catch the Raiders off balance and that really opened up a lot for their O. The Raider O looked very good last night even without Bensinger who was dressed but didn't play because of nursing his ankle. They didn't skip a beat without him but I'm sure Yeagley would love to have him back in the lineup. The D was a little shaky, especially the pass D. The loss of Chris Novak at LB has pushed Andrew Padach to the "adjustor" LB spot from safety and has put Jack Dawson back to replace Padach at S. Dawson might be the best athlete in the ITCL looked a little slow back at S. I believe he has been playing OLB when he has played D this season and learning S this late in the season shows a little bit. I believe coach Yeagley is getting ready for Ursuline by putting all his speed on the field. The CB were giving the WR about 8-10 yards from the line and the LB looked a little slow in coverage but the pass rush almost seemed non-existent. The Raiders will need to step on D next week if they want to move on. Gilmour has a better O than Kirtland and the Raiders will be prepared. Congrats on a great win and best of luck to coach Yeagley and the Raiders next week against Gilmour!!!
