If you did not get a chance to go to the game then you missed out on a strong showing of two ITCL teams. AT the end of the half game Jamboree the score was tied 6-6 . This may seem like a bias opinion and i know turnovers are part of the game but Lowellville had two drives that were inside the 50 stopped by fumbles for loss. Columbiana had no turnovers but were stopped on 4th down twice by the Rocket D. it may be an exciting year in the ITCL.

Sometime it's really hard to gauge teams by what they do in scrimmages, but the fact that it was 6-6 against a very talented Clippers team says a lot about the Rockets. I'm sure coach Spaite will have the Clippers firing away next week, and hopefully the Rockets keep up the good work. Good luck to both teams!!!

I was at that game also. Both teams played great football friday night. It was exiting being in somewhat of a game stuation again. I don't know how much you can get out of the score because of the jamboree rules. No returns off of kickoffs or punts? Good special teams can be a big part of any game. I'm not saying that Columbiana would have won, or lost because of this, I'm just saying saying it's not a score that you can really look at and make predictions of what actually happend. I think Lowelville played there hearts out and did a great job. They should be a team to reckon with this season, but Columbiana aslo kicked but and did a great job. All the kids have been working their tales off for the past few months and i'm glad it's finally time to show how far they've come. Good luck this year rblowellvillecd.

Thank you very much Clipdog and i agree with everything you said. Special teams may have turned the tide in either direction. and i was very proud of my team and the way they played. i just wish i could have been out their with them.

don't judge teams by a controlled scrimmage or by a half game, and then predict your teams season by them. It won't work. Scrimmages and half games are just that......controlled or a half game. games have two halves and much can happen in a regular game. I still see the clips as a team to be in the upper hunt..... Darn, I did it again....Hey 1970, you got a witches spell on me? I keep finding reasons for your Clips....to win....but come game 4, it is a huge NOT!!!!

Hey Bulldog....=P We had a terrible season last year and being able to even hang with the clippers is enough for me to show were better than last year.

Thats true bulldog1974, second halfs are like a whole new game. I remember two years ago Columbiana was down against Leetonia like 21 nothing at the half. Somehow the second half we came back to win 27 to 21. And last year against Springfield we were up, i forget the score exactly but it was rediculous, like 27 to zero or even worse maybe. Tiger fans all but left the stadium, and then they came back out and put on the best comeback I've ever seen and won the game. I didn't sleep for 3 days wondering what happend. But thats football I guess. From what I seen of the rockets, they are a much stronger team this year, but like you said, you can't really tell until this friday.

I keep finding reasons for your Clips....to win....but come game 4, it is a huge NOT!!!! you keep talking all this nuts on columbiana and you dont even [play for ep get a life move on from high school. and by the way we did terrible that scrimmage dont judge your season by that we didnt care and if you noticed we pretty much kicked the crap out of you guys still we picked the ball off with no time left in the half and we held you guys to like less than 100 yards we just made stupid mistakes we had a sophmore qb making his first start in any kind of game for varsity

I wasn't talking down the clippers clipsfan. Iv'e been a Clipper since birth. I 've been through the ICL with them, the TCL with them, the 1989 year when there was no sports in the school at all and everyone transfered to Leetonia. And now the ITCL. All I was saying is that Lowelville looks like a better team this year. I think after watching Friday nights game against SCC, anybobdy who was there should know that the Clippers mean buisness this year. I think Austin has a chance to break some of Willies records over the next 3 years. For a first varsity start, against a team like SCC, you couldn't have asked for more. The D-line was solid. The offense was unstoppable. The only thing I can say is to avoid the penalties, and cover the corners a little better and you'll take the ITCL and head to state.

That solid line gave up 40 points. Not too solid.

That solid line gave up 40 points. Not too solid. nah....can't judge that with who they played....we gave up 22 last year and they are better this year..... I would bet though, Spaite was red faced the whole game...something I like to see....

The line only gave up 52 yards the whole game. They have a reciever thats about 6 foot 5, runs like a cheeta and jumps like a kangaroo. I can't wait to see how your corners hold up against that. Their quarterback takes about a 5 step draw and fires on timing plays over and over. It kind of resembles Hopewell Louden of the last two years. You know, the state runner ups two years in a row. I think the clippers did an outstanding job to be able to even hang with them let alone beat them. Good luck on the 11th, you WILL need it!!

Yes, but they scored 40 points.......and that receiver killed your backs and safeties.....why didn't spaite defense against him? will we need good luck? no, we will need a solid effort both d and o to win this game. but first we have to deal with D3 Field....
