I want to see the Raiders win this one they just are a team that has been coached by a great coaching staff that has a lot of class. I can't say that about Columbiana.

This is a very deserving game of the week and it should be packed down in Columbiana. This will go along way in deciding the ITCL crown. South Range was expected to make it this far and contend for the crown but this young Columbiana team is a real surprise. I don't know anyone outside the Columbiana community who would have expected this. They are young and talented and led by seniors Ryan Williams at QB and Josh Hertel at FB/LB. They are great players, no doubt but will they be enough to beat the Raiders. They seem to be really clicking right now on all cylinders. I think the Raiders offense will put good numbers rushing behind a o-line that is really jelling and a backfield that can go 7 deep. The Raiders have depth and talent but the Clips aren't lacking by any means. Should be a good hard battle b/w the two teams.
Rebel: Thank you. We do have an outstanding coach and not only one of the best in the area but in the entire state as well. The same can be said for the great Coach Spaite who has a great program in the Clips. While some question his coaching method (Last year at SR during a T.O. you could hear him screaming profanity across the stadium) but he gets the kids motivated and the job done.
Good luck to both teams Prediction- SR 35 (Novak=2 td, Golec=1 td, Dawson=1 td, bens=1td) Col 14 (Hertel= 1 td, Williams=1 td)

I think that South Range may have more success passing the ball against Columbiana. If there is a weakness in Columbiana's defense it is the secondary. The Clippers have been giving up alot of yards through the air. Not to take anything away from South Range's offense, but I would be surprised if they dominated the game on the ground. The Clippers held Zitello from Ridge to something like 42 yds on 20 carries. That being said, the weather could play a role in this one. I heard that it is supposed to be 40 something degrees and raining at game time. Good Luck to both teams!

The weather could play a huge role in this game! If it does rain it will only help the cause of the Clips. If they do have a weak secondary it will be hard for the Raiders to throw the ball, especially as erratic as Dawson has been at times. While the Clips did limit Zitello to only a handful of yards I assure you the Raiders are on a different level. They have a number of backs that can run the ball very effectively and can change it up at any moment. Bensinger, Novak, Jones, Lengyl, Golec, Spitz, Dawson and the Raider line will be ready for that stout Clipper D! Should be one hell of a game. I wish I could be there but I will be across seas. Good luck to both teams. And as always Go Raiders!!

Raiderqb, I don't doubt that for a second. I'm sure they are on a different level. As you said, it will be a great match up. Strength against strength. Either way, I don't think we will be looking at a blowout. It will be a tight game all the way to the end!

What a game on friday b/w these two great teams!!!! While I was unable to attend the game, I watched via podcast on the internet and I have a few observations. My first being that it didn't look like Col. had a lot of fans at the game. The stands seemed to be a little empty for such a pivotal game. My second observation was that of Josh Hertel and Ryan Williams. Both were very good players. Hertel was very outstanding on offense running very hard but not gaining that many yards and Wiliams was a little shaky at QB at first but played well. I was not as impressed as much as I thought I was going to be about this Clipper D. Don't get me wrong it was good, but it didn't live up to the hype that was made about it. The Clips will have their handful in the playoffs but with their talent they will be just fine. Good luck to the Clips the rest of the way-You guys are a phenomenal program with great athletes and I have nothing but respect for you guys even when you are supposed to be having a down year. The Raiders looked sharp in this game and played arguably their best game of the season. Dawson and Bensinger looked amazing and the D looked sharp holding a good Clipper O to just 14 points, which might have been only 7 if not for a bad snap. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way!
PS-While I was way off on who was scoring the TD's, I was pretty d**n close on the score!!! ;D
PSS-The kicker for Col looked really good. Who is he and what kind of info does neone have on this kid? It looked like he caught a pass too. And who was that giganto lineman-59? he was a monster!!

RaiderQb, I have to give it up for SR. They dominated the LOS. Great backs and oline! The kicker for Columbiana is Josh Harold. I believe he has been the Clips starting kicker since his freshman year. The best part: he is only a junior this year! He has above average distance and is also accurate. #59 is Hudson (Josh maybe?) He is listed at 6-3, 240 or something like that. He is the strongest kid in the weight room as well. He is one heck of a player (I believe his back up is a freshman that is 6-1, 245 and is the second strongest player on the team - he benched 260ish and over 1000lb total in the JR high division at the Columbiana power meet last year as an eighth grader!).
