i think its sad that he was only there 3 yrs, i mean if you want to build a team be there for more then 3 yrs. get familiar with the kids, i dont know if he had a hidden motive, meaning another job offer but i dont think its right to step down after 3 yrs.

Actually backer59, Morris is a teacher in the Canton city schools and had to commute to Sebring every day. That was probably pretty expensive this past summer when gas was $4 a gallon. Second, I heard that his wife is divorcing him after 20 years together. I'm sure he is trying to sort out some things in life right now, and may have felt someone else with more time could help the program.
This may be a great opportunity for Sebring to improve the fortunes of their program if they can find the right guy.

u make good points ITCL and im sorry to hear about his wife, but the kids are going through coaches like they change clothes here. whoever the next coach is has to be 100% commited to staying with those kids. because they have to buy into his system to be able to get things on the right track.

Hopefully the school board can find someone local to hire, preferablly in the school system that will be able to dedicate the time needed to help turn this program around.

Sebring has their school board meeting tonight. So perhaps we will here if they have named a new coach.
