Calm down man jeez!! Matt played for Springfield this past season. Good player but any where near the MVP. Can't believe Jack Dawson was not on the list to vote on. I mean I wrote him in, but not even on the list? Little bit of a stretch I think. The MVP should have been split into two seperate tiers to vote on, lower and upper!
Selway was by far the MVP of the lower tier! (Sampson would be second)
The Upper tier could be a number of guys! Crestview had Carter Hill, Corey Hill, Ian Lanney, and Jakob Leon! South Range had Jack Dawson and Chris Gause! Columbiana had Josh Harold and that RB! United had the Phillis kid and finally East Palestine had Shane Peterson! I voted for Dawson as he was an everywhere type of athlete (QB, DB, LB, P - Could have played any position) but I know I will catch some grief for this, but i think Leon was the MVP because of his skill on both sides! Gause and Lanney are exceptional on the Oline and our underrated when it comes to this MVP talk. Both the Hills and Dawson were very appreciative of their services over the season I'm sure. I know Greg Snyder was the last ICL MVP before the merger of the ICL and TCL, so why couldn't either of those two be the MVP. Ok, I;m done venting now......

That is one of the biggest flaws in having an opinion poll. Although we have some control, there is nothing stopping an individual from stuffing the ballot so-to-speak, and distorting the votes.
Although Matt Evans is a very good player, he would not be considered an MVP athlete by most. Springfield players and fans may disagree.
The other item is Jack Dawson, or perhaps the entire South Range team. SR very seldom has any stars on their team. They do a great job of having six or seven tremendous players, and it makes it hard to pick just one. Dawson probably could and should have been one of the options on the poll, however his numbers were not as big as those that were listed. The intanglibles like leadership, etc. were not factored into the poll, but sheer numbers. So obviously the poll is for entertainment purposes only, and should be taken with a grain of salt, don't take them too seriously.

Funny how we are not talking about anyone from united for mvp! What was the score of the Crestview-united game again(before we showed mercy and took our starters out)? To the admin: You write a summary about the 08 season and don't mention Cory Hill 1 time? ?? Thats why nobody really visits this site. Too much south range bias!

Guest: Point taken, Corey was not mentioned, and should have been. However I will point out that he is pictured on the article, along with on the front page of the site for the past month. Please PM me if you have other issues with the site. Let me add also, that you were contacted twice in regards to updating the site on Crestview football and you chose not to.

He was a big target for the younger Hill and without him, you could argue they have no pass game and wouldn't have beat South Range. He also played great D and set the school recored for INT's. his big catches throughout the year set up pivotal turning points in games, such as his INT of Dawson late in the 4th and then his reach-over catch of the Range DB. Both are deserving and that is just my opinion(By the way I'm from lisbon!)
