Dogs finally got win #1 last Friday over a young Wellsville squad.
A QB change opened up the offense somewhat and now can that offense continue this week against D3 Canton? Much needed confidence was gained with the win last Friday, let's hope it continues this week.
Any thoughts on the game?

Don't be fooled by Canton South's record... The lost to a D1 Federal League in Perry(2-0) and D2 Canfield(1-1).
South has a ton of speed and will have an offensive attack unlike any other team the Bulldogs will play all year. Last week against Canfield they threw 60 passes and only ran the ball 4 times. For the Bulldogs to win this one they will have to protect the ball and control the time of possession on offense and get some pressure on South's QB and not get beat deep on defense.

I agree not to underestimate South's 0-2 record. Their schedule from top to bottom is brutal. South usually has some tall, speedy, athletic receivers that give secondary's fits. Good luck to the dawgs.

Good Luck Bulldogs. This team is about to explode with underclassmen talent towards the middle of the season.

62-14 Canton South over EP
QB for South threw 9 TD's which I believe tied the state record.

Typical run up the score. Serves no purpose.

I agree there is no point having your first team in there up by 40 pts or more. A series to start the second half perhaps and let the reserves get some Fri nite time. I had a bad feeling about this game but i never expected the outcome. ...but in all honesty no ITCL team should be playing a NBC team. These are all medium to large D3 schools and a D2 with Louisville. Some of these teams dress 75 or more varsity. They're 2 and 3 deep at most positions. Not really comparing apples with apples. United found out the hard way with a good Minerva team the last few years. Even the top programs in the upper tier would be hard pressed to beat any of the NBC programs most years. Salem has the horses this year but i fear even they will struggle most years once they join the league.

For what it is worth, South would have had little problem with any of the ITCL teams. At least the Dogs stepped up to the plate.
