Any thoughts on this match up? Ep and Wellsville have an on and off history dating back to the old Columbiana County League and more recently, the TCL. Last meeting between the schools, Ep won handily. This year, Wellsville has a young team and a lot of inexperience. Dogs have the same type team. Tigers won last week against Toronto on a last ditch TD and xtra point and the Dogs took a hard beating from Southern. How do you see it?

I have had the chance to see both teams in action this year and this looks to be a close game. If this game was on the Bulldogs field then I would give a bigger edge to the Bulldogs. Since this game is going to be played in Wellsville I still think the Bulldogs will come away with a win but it will be real close because of the grass field.

Wellsville will struggle to score on the Bulldogs. If the Dogs can keep ahold of the football and they don't give the Tigers short fields to work with Wellsville will find it hard to score. I don't think there is a team on Wellsville's schedule where they will win big. They will win some more games this season but it won't come easy. Bulldogs 24-14

It wasn't the defense last week. They played well, it's just that you cannot be on the field almost the whole game. Defense got some pics and a loose ball. Trouble was, 14 of Southern's points came on a short field. Ep needs to find offensive blocking, period. They talked about last year's 7-4 line as being big and lazy, well, where is this year's offensive line even at? If I sound negative, well, I am. The new staff surely did not prepare as well as Skrinjar did.

Cal Prep "Project a Match-up" predicts:
East Palestine (OH) 24, Wellsville (OH) 14
Good luck to the dogs! (although I think the Tigers will pull this out on their home field) I really would like to see the Dogs do well in this game.

Early in the season Cal Preps is based on previous year's data, which is not a factor given the loss of talent from last year's EP team. The predictions become a little more realistic as the season progresses. Good luck Dogs.

Seeing some other "predictions" I really laugh.

This game will be a real tester for the dogs. The Tigers always play tuff at home and the dogs do not need another Lower Tier victory.
Go DOGS!
