Look for Beaver to ask to join the ITCL upper soon. If they are to play Fitch, they will really be in trouble. Salem did inquire, but chose to go to the NBC, and get beat there.... I could see an ITCL upper with: Salem, Beaver, Ep, SR, United and Miserable Ridge. C-view, Columbiana, Lisbon and SL are getting too small in enrollment. Just my opinion... Good topic to discuss.

That is an interesting idea.....however, what about Youngstown Christian or Mathews from what use to be the ESC? Neither school really has much of a conference to play in anymore. It wouldn't surprise me if they haven't already applied. Especially since YCS plays three ITCL schools to start their 2010 season.

YCS is becoming the new Ursuline. I don't think they will be welcome to much longer. Mathews, too far to travel and would have to be upper tier and would be beaten by most upper teams. Go with the above line up. Salem won't be D3 much longer and Kopachy won't stay there. Just my opinion.

What about Brookfield? They are now an independent, and former AAC member. They would fit in with the ITCL better then Mathews. I could see Brookfield and YCS as new members in the ITCL soon...

I still stand by my picks.

Dog your lineup is intersting, But how big will the itcl schools be versus Salem and Beaver.

Dog your lineup is intersting, But how big will the itcl schools be versus Salem and Beaver. The ITCL teams I named with exception of Ridge will stay large D5. Salem will be D4 within the next two years and Beaver will be there in 4 years. Ep could go back to D4, along with United. Just depends on the enrollment and cutoffs. Somehow, I neglected to factor in East Liverpool into the picture. They will be looking at D4 soon also.

Dog your lineup is intersting, But how big will the itcl schools be versus Salem and Beaver. Right now the ITCL Upper Tier has all D5 schools except for Columbiana. Crestview, East Palestine, South Range and United have all been relatively close to the D4 cutoff, and Springfield and Ridge dipped into D6 I believe four years ago. Certainly Salem and Beaver would be the largest if they would somehow be accepted into the league. In what limited discussions I have had, I think the ITCL is very satified with the current membership. It is not perfect, but as we have seen with the All-American Conference, it is a heck of a lot better then any alternative.

The ITCL does have a little problem with some enrollment cross overs in the tiers, but as said before, it is based on total enrollement, just not boys only.

the failure of the aac was caused by the big three (poland,Canfield, howland) calling all the shots and not doing whats best for all involved. I would say it failed because it did not try to be like the itcl enough, the admin of the itcl have done a good job with the league and keeping everyone happy, thats hard to do.

Best thing is this: revive the MAC or MVC. Then also revive the SVC. It can be done and what is really weird you see this stuff posted on Yappy and that screwed up Huddle. MVC: Struthers Poland Salem Campbell Hubbard West Branch Canfield JFK SVC: Fitch Boardman Chaney East Mooney Ursuline Harding Howland what is so hard about that? And to boot it is 90% the old lineups!

theres a couple of problems with your proposed leagues (This is not all my opinion, somei s fact)
Campbell would be in the league they just fought to get out of, they are not the campbell of old, they ar much smaller, they would fit inthe upper tier of the itcl
Hubbard does not want to play teams its own size every week
nobody likes or trust jfk in a league
howland would never go for this, it would put them back to mediocrity (sp? Sorry)
and lastly, city teams will not be put into a local league because they will currently play anyone at anytime and no on wants to screw that up.
Now some of this came from admin mouths so dont totally hate this post
