Thing is, the 2009 teams really mean nothing for the 2010 season. South Range was terrible last year. It doesn't happen very often, and I'm sure Yeagly won"t let it happen again. Will they win the ITCL, doughtful, they have a very tough first three. If they go 0-3 they're done, but if they go 3-0 or even 2-1 they"ll most likely make the playoffs. As much as I hate to say it, Crestview is the one to beat...AGAIN. Thats what winning a tiltle means. Cusic runs a great program, has great coaches around him, and ALOT of kids with talent and heart. I don"t know what think about EP with the new coach and the loss of some great players graduating.Same with my Clippers , WE lost a huge line with Rex Smith, Mike Mcmaster and the speed of Grant Crider. I hope, just like all of you , that there are a group of younger players willing to step up this season, fill the shoes of our graduating stars and make or 2010 seasons one of the best ever. Thats why they play on friday night because whatever we predict, whatever bull we can say about the teams and who"s going to win it all, none of us really have a clue.

I'll tell you before Dog74 does, some 2009 teams are the 2010 teams in this league. Some were promising, some were terrible. With that said, Good Luck to the teams in both tiers this year.

Ouch. Saying a team was terrible last year? Ya, youse is right. I can name 4. Matter of fact, 5!
Top 3 in the Upper next year: Rebels, Dogs and Clippers. Wanna bees, Raiders and those birds from United. Springfield's Tiggers will make some noise, and Miserable Ridge will if they continue to heavily water their home field before a big game........ Lisbon? Hello?

Just an early prediction
1. Crestview- clear favorite, probably won't lose a league game this year 2. Mineral Ridge- not exactly sure what all they have coming back but they lost a bunch of close games with wins over good cview and ep squads. if they have a good core coming back they should be tough 3. Columbiana- lost a lot from last year's team but will compete like always 4. Springfield- i'm not sure what they have so this is a guess 5. United- aren't the QB and some other good players back this season? quality coach stepping in but i don't think they will finish up near the top of the standings. 6. East Palestine- loss of key talent and coaching change will set them back. however, they have more solid players returning than what people think and could be good again if there is a smooth transition. 7. South Range- challenged cview last year but were handled in a bunch of games. didnt see much on the field that makes me think they will get that much better this year, but that was last year and they could finish much higher if they get their stuff together. 8. Lisbon- its unfortunate where this program is at
I think crestview will definitely win the league and lisbon will probably be last, but the other 6 teams could finish in any order.

Great post clipdog and guest!!! 2009 means nothing in 2010, but with that being said, Crestview is the team to beat in the Upper Tier with seven other teams getting set to make a challenge. The 2010 season can not get here soon enough!!! Matter of fact, only 96 days left, or just over 3 months!

Always great posts, Dog74 also has some good stuff, just he goes to the extreme. Maybe for a reason.

1. Crestview... Carter Hill and the Rebels have a great shot at 10-0 2. Mineral Ridge... They always find a way to win down the stretch. 3. East Palestine... Good New Coach and they have a lot of speed and I think they will be better on defense. 4. Springfield 5. Columbiana 6. United 7. South Range... They don't have the talent the once had. 8. Lisbon... sad very sad
I think Crestview, Mineral Ridge and East Palestine all make the playoffs.

I think the Dawgs will have a smoother than anticipated change and will respond to the new coach and his familiar staff. The coach has wandered the halls and recruited a few new players including another 6'9" player.

Man, EP didn't have much in the JV team that play Crestview's JV team with 9 or 10 Freshman on CR'S team at EP last year. Crestview didn't have a Freshman team last year so all the Freshman played JV. I think CR scored 5 TD's in the first 5-6 min. of the game. Real Ugly. Not sure EP has that much comin' back next year....? I hope they do. Even Crestview will have to have some guy's play both sides of the ball next year to be a very good team. They lost some key players also.

Pathetic and they are champions come varsity.
